Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter World Cross Paths

From Horizon: Zero Dawn to Megaman to Street Fighter V, the Monster Hunter World crossover event list keeps getting bigger and more varied. The latest addition to that list is definitely one of the more unique as Dante’s Devil May Cry will be making his debut in the world of Monster Hunter.

In celebration of the release of the Devil May Cry HD Collection for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, Monster Hunter World fans will soon get to cosplay as the son of Sparda himself, the sword-swinging, pistol-firing badass Dante.

The new crossover event will also introduce Dante’s signature Force Edge sword as a Charge Blade. Of course, the Charge Blade is a weapon that changes forms via combos and so, too, will the Force Edge. However, instead of changing into an axe, the weapon will instead transform into the demonic Alastor sword. Don’t worry, though; even though the shield is visually gone from the weapon, you can still block attacks as normal.

Details on when this new crossover event will arrive, along with the special event quest tied to it, are due to be revealed soon. In the meantime, there’s a pretty entertaining video showing the new kit in action that can be seen below.
